Shoes to Reuse - TOMS Shoes

By Jamie Pritscher · Jul 11, 2018

For those of you that don’t know me, a growing obsession of mine has become the TOMS shoes brand. Their One for One philosophy is one that I strongly support and admire and of course, anytime I can help people in need by purchasing a pair of new shoes, I’m a happy woman. Not to mention their BRAND NEW sunglasses line that helps give sight to a person in need. I would be lying to you all if I said I didn’t stake out the website and order a pair the first day they were available.

Some people think that the classic TOMS shoes are unattractive, but I couldn’t disagree more. I think they’re practical and go with everything. I only own three pair and given tons away as gifts (and there I go again with the gift ideas…). I would recommend starting out with two pairs: one neutral color and one funky pattern or bold color. After that you can start exploring the different styles of shoes (heels, boots, cardones, ballet flats, etc.).

As with everything I own and give away, I’m always looking for a second use in items and I stumbled across these adorable, creative ways to re-purpose your old TOMS!

The bracelet is my favorite TOMS shoe alternative use, and if you’re clever enough with a needle and thread, maybe you can make one without the janky-ness of a rubber band. If you figure it out, please share your skills with me! On that note, please share with me any other ways to reuse TOMS or other old shoes that you’ve come up with!
