Q: Where is That's Caring located?

A: That’s Caring is located in Elk Grove Village, a northwestern suburb of Chicago. This location puts That’s Caring minutes away from O’Hare International Airport, allowing us to quickly ship your gift.

Q: When will my gifts arrive?

A: All orders placed by 11 AM CST will be shipped on that same day Monday through Friday.  Gifts ordered after 11 AM CST, over the weekend or on holidays will be shipped out the following business day.

Unless expedited shipping is chosen, all gifts ship via UPS or FedEx ground-map (as seen below), and all shipping/tracking information will be sent directly to you.

 Q: How much is shipping?

A: Standard rate shipping is $10.95 per gift box via UPS or FedEx Ground. Gift boxes with wine have a flat shipping rate of $15.95 per gift box via UPS or FedEx Ground. 

If you place an order to a PO Box or to a military address, the rate is still $10.95 and will ship via USPS.

If you place an order shipping to Hawaii, it will automatically ship 2nd Day Air at the rate of $46.95. 

If you plan an order shipping to Alaska, it will ship Ground at the rate of $31.95.  Wine gift boxes shipping to Alaska will ship at the rate of $36.95. 

Note: We cannot ship any wine gifts to a PO Box or to a military address 

Q: Where can you ship wine? 

Due to certain laws, gift baskets containing wine may only be shipped to the following states: AK,CT, DC, FL, IL, LA, NE, NV, NH, ND, OR, VA, WV, WY. Additionally, you must be 21 years and older to purchase gift baskets containing wine and adult signatures are required on all wine shipments.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: We do not ship internationally at this time.

Q: What if I give the wrong address or if the address is incomplete, and the package is undeliverable and gets returned to That's Caring?

Occasionally, incorrect addresses happen.  We kindly ask that you verify the shipping addresses and include suites, units, or apartment numbers before making  your order.  If we are given an incorrect address, and the package is returned as "undeliverable", we unfortunately get charged by the carrier and $18 fee to return the package.  We must in turn pass that charge on to you.  We will notify you of this occurrence and ask if you want to send another package again. If it is our error for the return, we would be happy to re-send the package to the correct address at no charge.

Q: How does That’s Caring give back?

A: Actually, you are the one giving back. We just make it convenient for you by working with multiple food banks' Weekend Food Bag Programs. We give to the closest food bank to your location to help you make an impact in your community. You Gift, You Give.  

Q: Why the Weekend Food Bag Program?

A: The government's National School Lunch Program (NSLP)  feeds kids Monday through Friday during the school year, and the Weekend Food Bag Program picks up where the N.S.L.P. leaves off, completing seven days of nutrition.

Q: Does That’s Caring lose money by giving back?

A: We consider giving an investment with the future of gift givers. The more successful the next generation, the more gifts they will need to celebrate. We are selfishly looking out for our best interest by creating healthy and happy future gift givers

Q: What happens when That’s Caring helps solve childhood hunger in America?

A: When that day comes, there will be more we can do for American children. Our research team will find out how we can make the biggest impact to the quality of life of children. We will give as long as you gift.

We want to live in a future where no child goes hungry. When that day comes, our team will research what we can do next.

Q: Can I add a message to my gift?

A: Yes, every gift has an option to add in your own personalized message once you reach the checkout page. Your message can be typed in the white box to the left of your total. 

 

Q:  Some of my friends/family/clients have dietary needs.  Do you have products that are gluten-friendly? In addition, are there products I can order for those friends who are vegan?  Can I customize my order to meet those dietary needs?

A: Yes, we can accommodate those needs!

Q: How long do your cookies and muffins last? 

A: Since our products do not contain preservatives, we recommend you enjoy cookies within 28 days of receiving and muffins within 10 days.  Alternatively, you can freeze after receiving to enjoy at a later date.

Q: Can I schedule an appointment to help chose a gift?

A: Yes, email tmiller@thatscaring.com the time and date you would like to chat. Include any details about your gift like occasion, who is the intended receiver, and date you would like the gift to arrive. In the subject line, please write TC APPT: “Last Name”

Q: Can I buy in bulk?

Q: Can I send multiple gifts to different locations through checkout?

At this time, you can only place an order to ship to one address at a time. If you have multiple orders, you can place them one by one online or reach out to tmiller@thatscaring.com to help with your bulk order. 

We have followed in the footsteps of companies like Toms Shoes and Warby Parker, so we are a for profit company that has a charitable component built into our business model. Therefore, we do not have a 501c3 id.  Our giving can be seen here. We can also provide references to contacts at the food banks.
