Corporate Gift Partner Spotlight: Optomi
Everyone knows that we are huge fans of the one-for-one business model, and even bigger supporters of our Giving Happiness, Helping Hunger initiative. That means that when we know of a group that is supporting give-back companies, we want to share it with all of you!
One of our partners in corporate giving, Optomi, recently donated a variety of one-for-one items to United Way for an auction, and we can’t wait to share more about the cause!
Optomi, an IT staffing company boasting the mantra “Driving Tomorrow’s Technology with Today’s Optimum Talent,” is proud to offer their Optomi Care Program. In partnership with That’s Caring, Optomi offers gift packages of That’s Caring confections with Optomi logos and custom cookie recipes included. Additionally, Optomi’s Opt-to-Give program allows its employees to spend workdays serving those in need during an annual Opt-to-Give Day.
Recently, Optomi donated these items from various one-for-one companies to raise money in United Way’s online auction, “Bidding for Good.”
Box of Confections, That’s Caring—our one-for-one model utilizes sales from our gourmet, high-end gift baskets to donated one weekend bag of food to a hungry child in the US.
Orange Blossom Soap, Hand in Hand—boasting 100% vegetable based, vegam, organic, gluten-free, biodegradable, palm-free, cruelty-free organic ingredients in its products, this sustainable suds company donated one bar of soap & one month of clean water to those in need and saved 50 square feet of rainforest for each bar purchased.
Bottle of Champagne, One Hope Wine—a social enterprise that integrates causes into products and services to make a social impact, this company donates 50% of profits from this bottle of champagne went to the End Childhood Hunger organization.
12 Packs of Mint Julep Gum, Project 7—purchases made from this group of do-gooders spreads good in a seven ways including feeding the hungry, healing the sick, supporting those who hope for peace, housing the homeless, quenching those who thirst, teaching them well and saving the earth. Proceeds from the Mint Julep Gum donated one and a half months of clean water to those in need.
Market Tote, Esperos—this company provides children in the developing world with access to education through the sale of premium, good looking products. Proceeds from the Market Tote donated one year of education to children in need.
Canvas Pouch, Out of Print Clothing—celebrating the world’s greatest stories through fashion, this company donates one book to a child in a community in need through its partner, Books for Africa.
Women’s Sunglasses, TOMs—a one-for-one company that donates a pair of glasses or a pair of shoes for every purchase made. This auction item donated glasses to a child in need.
Cream and Gold Scarf, Soulscarf—founded by a thrifty woman with philanthropic aims, this company partnered with a fair trade community in India to assemble all aspects of the spring Soulscarfs. 20% of proceeds from this donated item went to Feed the Children.
